Spring is finally here and started it off right with Ashley & Patricks engagement shoot at Snyder Flats in Bloomingdale. I had never photographed their before but knew it would make for some great shots with the pond and evergreen trees. It is a dog friendly area to so it was a perfect spot to bring their dog Bella along for some photos. We had a beautiful overcast day for it. Ashley and I go way back to our high school days so it has been great reconnecting and very special to now be capturing this next chapter in her life. She found herself a German man who I can see adores her and makes each other very happy. Ashley and Patrick were really sweet with each other in their photos and loved how they turned out. Being that their engagement shoot was on May 4th, Patrick had surprised me by mentioning that he is a big Star Wars fan and he has 2 lightsabers in the car that they would like to have a battle with them… I was so thrilled and of course I said yes!! We found some sand dunes which made for a perfect backdrop. Ashley busted out some awesome moves in her heels which looked awesome in photos. It was funny watching people’s reactions to what was happening when they walked by. I can sense that their wedding day is going to be a lot of fun and can’t wait to capture it this fall at the Cambridge Mill! I think the lightsabers might need to make another appearance at the wedding…
