Alvin & Susan’s wedding was the last wedding of my 2017 season and I am so happy it was with such a sweet, caring, easy going couple. They had a lovely and emotional ceremony, a choir that gave you goose bumps and vows that left no dry eyes in the room. It was not only bringing 2 people together but a family. Their calmness through out the day was moving even when their was a high chance of rain and some hiccups through the day that was out of their control.
We lucked out and got all the photos done before the rain hit at Victoria Park. Since it was just them and no wedding party we could really focus on their photos and I am very pleased with how they turned out. The overcast lighting allowed us to shoot just about anywhere and the fall colours were beautiful. We then hit up a local café where they enjoy a nice hot beverage and could relax and hang out for a bit as a married couple. As a respect of privacy, photos of this special moment will not be documented but it was such a beautiful calming setting. Would highly recommend incorporating something like this into anyone’s day.
The reception took place at the Tannery which is such a unique venue. They had so many creative ideas incorporated into the night.. from a digital seating chart Alvin made, to karaoke kissing game, a beautiful collage of photos of them on the unique projector screen there, music videos playing along with every song, their first dance performance, a candle gratitude ceremony and a sparkler exit.
The entire day was very laid back and lovely. I am so honoured to have been a part of it. Alvin & Susan have been so welcoming from the very start and made this entire process very enjoyable. Wishing them all the best as they begin this new journey together as a family. Cheers
