What a day! If I were to sum up Jeremy and Jeanneza’s wedding day with one word it would be eventful as there were SO many memorable moments. My assistant Stephanie and I took a road trip to Goderich ON to photograph the big day but not as far of a road trip as the Bride & Groom took from Australia! For only meeting these two twice, one of those being over Skype, I feel like we have known each other for a long time! They have such an out going, friendly, welcoming personality. We had such a blast with TONES of laughs with them especially when we had Jeremy speak in a Canadian accent to Jeanneza… “would you like a double double eh?” haha. It was great.

They had a lovely ceremony by the lake at Jeanneza’s family cottage. It was raining up all morning and it had cleared up just before the ceremony, perfect timing! We had so much time in between the ceremony and reception which was wonderful as we were never rushed and could take breaks and hang out with their wedding party. We took the photos along the pier and train tracks by a giant ship which made for some unique and rustic shots. Afterwards we went along the beach which was stunning! The sun even decided to peek out at one point and shimmered on the water, I was on cloud 9 with how beautiful it looked.

The reception took place at the Beach Street Station which was lovely and served some delicious appetizers and mains. The night was filled with speeches, dance performance by some kids, shoe game and of course some lots of dancing. With the mix of Jeanneza’s Filipino family and Jeremy’s French relatives made for a fun bunch and lots of translating. Made me have to think back to the basics of elementary French class as well as my time in the Philippines trying to learn Tagalog.

Jeremy & Jeanneza have been such a pleasure to work with, they were taking in every moment and never let the little things bug them. It was so special to see so many people gather in one small town to celebrate their day with them. They’re such lovely people and I am so happy they chose me to capture their wedding. Wishing these two nothing but the best and hope our paths cross again… possibly in Australia! Cheers
